Access to Urgent Healthcare

The Accident & Emergency Department at the Leicester Royal Infirmary is best utilised for serious and life threatening conditions such as heavy bleeding, chest pain, strokes, burns and scalds etc. Many patients attending A & E, may be able to be treated elsewhere. Please see other available services, below.

During daytime working hours (8.00am to 6.30pm Mon -Fri) you should contact the Medical Centre if an urgent appointment or advice is required. The Practice offers a combination of face to face and telephone consultations daily. Minor injuries can also be seen at the Surgery.

During evenings and weekends when the surgery is closed, and your problem can't wait until the Surgery reopens, please dial 111, and a NHS 111 advisor will signpost you to the appropriate service.
