The Friends of Desford Surgery are looking for enthusiastic new members to join them in supporting the Medical Centre. The group meet 4 times a year, and represent the voice of patients, and also attend regular meetings within the wider Clinical commissioning group. Additionally, the group produce a quarterly newsletter for patients, as well as organise fundraising and health awareness events. If you are interested in joining the group, please contact Mrs Anju Maini, at the Surgery. Thank you!

Phone the surgery number to arrange appointments, repeat prescriptions and home visits. If you prefer a telephone consultation this too can be arranged.

GP Appointments are available Monday to Friday. Morning sessions run from 8.30am until 11.00am and afternoon sessions take place from 3.30pm until 6.00pm. These appointments vary, as some will be pre-bookable in advance, as well as having urgent appointments which are opened on the day.

NHS 111 is operational for patients requiring medical care/advice after 6:30pm. The surgery telephone line will ask patients to hang up and dial 111. Patients will then be signposted to the correct service.

Seeing the Doctor

Our standard is that you should be able to see the Doctor or the Practice Nurse within 24 hours it is it URGENT - 48 hours if it is ROUTINE.
